Cubesat

CubeSat is a type of miniaturised satellite that is made up of standardised units, typically measuring 10x10x10 cm per unit, and weighing no more than 1.33 kg per unit. These small satellites are designed for a variety of missions, including scientific research, Earth observation, and technology demonstration. CubeSats can be assembled in multiple configurations, with common sizes including 1U (one unit), 2U, 3U, and even larger designs like 6U or 12U

The development of CubeSats has significantly lowered the barrier to entry for space exploration and technology testing, making them accessible to universities, research institutions, and small businesses. They are often launched as secondary payloads on larger rockets, which allows for cost-effective space access. The design of CubeSats also facilitates rapid development cycles, allowing teams to build and launch new missions within a shorter timeframe compared to traditional satellites

CubeSats have become popular for educational purposes, enabling students to engage in hands-on learning experiences in aerospace engineering, software development, and data analysis. The technology and lessons learned from CubeSat missions can pave the way for future innovations in satellite design and space exploratio
